This one is just fun. If you are looking for a different stone to set in a statement piece you might want to take a look at this scapolite. It is cut in Charles Covill's Christmas Star design to give a little extra to the holiday. The scapolite has a pretty yellow color with plenty of flash. The really interesting part is the inclusions you'll find. I believe it is rutile needles growing in the scapolite. They shoot through the design and send flashes all over the place. It is a classic, perfectly clean stone? No not at all. It is the imperfections that make this stone really interesting. The Christmas Star design produces a very deep stone so keep that in mind for your design. Enjoy.
